Insect Zoo at Kansas State, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2024


The Insect Zoo at Kansas State opened its doors in 1999. Visitors can see the different insects at Kansas State University by visiting the old barn on the campus. When visiting the insect zoo you will get to see many different insects such as tropical insects, spiders and tarantulas, scorpions and more. You will also get to see a flooded Amazon Rainforest/tropical tree, a mock kitchen, a tropical night house or cave, a freshwater display, and an observation beehive. If you would like to schedule a guided tour, they ask for you to please call at least one week ahead of time.

Admission: Walk-in visitors are $2/person, seniors and military are $1.50

Guided tours: charge is $3/person and must be scheduled one week in advance

Guided tours and groups visits by appointment all day on Monday and Tuesday-Friday mornings. Call 785-532-5891 for an appointment.
