Oakland Zoo, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2024

           There’s a zoo, then there’s the ride, surely children will love this zoo! Explore differents habitats When visiting the Oakland Zoo's many biomes and learn about animals that live in there.  This zoo features over 375 native and exotic animals of 114 species in their native habitat environments. It also offers educational activities, a library, and a surround-sound theater. The Oakland Zoo is a great family/children's zoo. It's located in a nice hilly/tree area which has made a great habitat for the animals they have. They have a small amusement park next door that young children can go to. Very interesting hands-on exhibits. They have a ski lift like operation which takes you over the African area so you get a really great look at the camels, lions, tigers, elephants, etc. Their programs teach kids to respect the animals and their environment and to have the awareness of how they can help contribute to helping preserve the animals in their environment. Conservation is a primary concern at the Oakland Zoo. They’re are actively involved with many researchers and organizations, dedicated to various conservation projects around the world.
